This July, the world’s cocktail spotlight swings to Asia as Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 touches down in Macau for the very first time.
All eyes in the cocktail world will be on Macau this time with Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace announced as the host destination partners for the upcoming Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 official awards ceremony. Set to take place on 15 July, the prestigious awards is set to gather the region’s best bartenders, bar owners, and industry tastemakers down to Macau for a celebration of Asia’s increasingly dominant role in global cocktail culture.
Now in its tenth edition, Asia’s 50 Best Bars has long been seen as a definitive barometer of the continent’s bar scene. But the choice of Macau — a city better known for casinos and grand hotels — signals something bigger: a cultural shift where luxury, collaboration, and serious drinks craftsmanship are converging across Asia’s most dynamic cities.
“We are excited to host this year’s live awards ceremony in Macau. From sips inspired by the city’s local culture and heritage to surprising avant-garde creations, the best of Macau’s bar scene combines both flavour and storytelling led by innovative bartending talents,” shares Emma Sleight, Head of Content for Asia’s 50 Best Bars.

“Our partnership with Wynn Palace and Wynn Macau, establishments that are renowned for their world-class food and drink experiences, provide an excellent backdrop for celebrating the remarkable achievements of this year’s winners as they continue to elevate the region’s bar scene,” Sleight added.
“We are truly honoured to host the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 awards ceremony at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. This prestigious event will bring together Asia’s finest bartenders and mixologists in Macau, fostering an exchange of ideas and innovation,” said Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited.
“The entire Wynn team looks forward to showcasing Macau’s vibrant and diverse culinary scene to the world, reinforcing our shared golden calling card as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy and further solidifying our reputation as a global centre of tourism and leisure,” Chen added.

“It’s an honour to personally be a part of connecting the communities across Asia and the world here at Wynn Palace,” said Mark Lloyd, Head Mixologist of Wing Lei Bar at Wynn Palace Macau. “Bridging the gap from east to west and giving these bars the opportunity to connect is something I’m personally very passionate about. I have curated a programme that I think will rival our neighbour’s incredible efforts from last year,” added Llloyd, who recently unveiled a new cocktail experience at Wing Lei Bar.
Alongside the awards, an entire festival of activities awaits: a Bartenders’ Feast, exclusive “Meet the Bartenders” sessions, masterclasses, and high-profile dinners pairing award-winning cocktails with Michelin-starred cuisine.
With Asia’s bar communities thriving in hubs like Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, and now Macau, the region is proving it’s not just following cocktail trends — it’s setting them. Along with the The World’s 50 Best Bars being held in Hong Kong later this year, hosting the awards in Macau affirms what insiders have long known: Asia is now home to some of the world’s most exciting and influential cocktail capitals.
