Whisky Live makes its debut in Macau with over 40 exhibitors and 300 whiskies at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau from 11-13 October 2024.
Prestigious annual whisky festival Whisky Live officially makes its inaugural debut in Macau this October with the event scheduled to take place 11 to 13 October 2024 at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. A must for whisky lovers from new enthusiasts to seasoned collectors, Whisky Live Macau 2024 offers an unparalleled opportunity to sample some of the world’s most popular and rare whiskies.
This highly-anticipated whisky-centric extravaganza is set to feature more than 40 exhibitors showcasing exceptional whiskies, coupled with various culinary delights to complement your drams.
The event’s flagship Grand Pavilion will host over over 300 whiskies, featuring renowned and independent bottlers from Scotland, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan. Many of these whisky expressions are landing in Macau for the first time, offering visitors a rare opportunity to explore the unique profiles and rich flavours of these exceptional whiskies.
Attendees get to interact with producers, master distillers, and whisky experts in four distinct themed zones – whisky and spirits tastings, food pairings, live music performances, and even a cocktail garden. The latter, held at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau’s green oasis of Jardim Secreto will see a selection of spirits turned into expertly crafted cocktails by local and Hong Kong bartenders each night.
In addition to the grand whisky exhibition, the inaugural Whisky Live Macau will host a series of masterclasses, among which are led by global whisky ambassadors and representatives from Suntory, SAKURAO, Mars Whisky, and more.
To commemorate this landmark occasion, the organisers have procured as an exclusive festival bottling from Hokkaido’s remote Akkeshi Distillery. Limited to only 130 bottles bundled with tickets and 130 bottles on-site, this collectible single-barrel whisky – distilled in 2020 and aged in a sherry butt – showcases the “distinctive character of Hou Shore, with refreshing citrus and marine notes complemented by the terroir of Hokkaido”.
