Thailand’s capital of Bangkok will host Whisky Live Thailand on 16-18 November 2024, featuring over 100 whiskies from around the world.
Whisky lovers in Bangkok, here’s some good news: Whisky Live returns to the Land of Smiles for its 2024 edition! To be held at Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok in the city’s trendy Sukhumvit district, this year’s the whisky-focused spirits festival will showcase over 100 different whiskies and other spirits from renowned regions like Scotland, Ireland, US, France and Australia, but also up-and-coming ones across Asia, offering a tasting paradise for those who love a whisky tipple or three.
Familiar brands featured include the range from leading Scotch whisky producing conglomerate Diageo, popular blended Scotch whisky Dewar’s, and Highland single malt maker The Dalmore, but also lesser known but upcoming ones such as newly-established Edinburgh-based Holyrood.
Then there are the exhibitors from the rest of the world, such as M&H Distillery from Israel which ages whisky at sites such as the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, and the Golan Heights, or Everett, Washington-based James Bay Distillers, which specialises in producing award-winning Canadian whiskies, gins, and vodkas crafted with exceptional ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. Their flagship product, the Galloping Goose Canadian Whisky, has garnered numerous accolades for its smooth flavour profile and complex character.
More than just a pure tasting event, Whisky Live Thailand promises to be a celebration of whisky culture for whisky lovers to meet fellow enthusiasts, engage with industry experts and producers, and to explore and discover new favourites. Aside from the main tasting room, there’s also a VIP tasting room where you can enjoy a cigar over a dram, as well as various masterclasses where you can deep dive into the world of whisky with brand-led tastings and educational sessions led by whisky experts.
This year’s theme is Gatsby, borrowing from The Roaring Twenties and the Jazz Age, so expect revellers to dress up accordingly to impress.
Prices are THB 2,000 for a day pass, THB 3,500 for a two-day pass, and THB 5,000 for a two-day VIP pass. For more information on Whisky Live Thailand, visit: https://whiskylivethailand.com/.
