Rumari & Friends featuring Elements, inspired by Ciel Bleu (Bali)

The latest edition of Rumari & Friends at Raffles Bali returns this June as Rumari welcomes Bangkok’s Michelin-starred Elements, inspired by Ciel Bleu, for a two-night four-hands dinner where progressive Indonesian cuisine meets French gastronomy shaped by Japanese precision.

Happening on 19 and 20 June 2026, the collaboration pairs Chef Gaetan Biesuz, Director of Culinary at Raffles Bali, with Chef Gerard Villaret Horcajo of Elements, whose résumé spans Michelin-starred kitchens including Ciel Bleu in Amsterdam, Vendôme in Germany, and De Librije in the Netherlands.

Together, the chefs will present a tasting experience exploring Indonesian identity through the lenses of French refinement and Japanese sensibilities, with seasonality and storytelling running through the menu. Expect dishes that draw from Chef Gerard’s layered flavour profiles and dual-sauce techniques alongside Chef Gaetan’s contemporary interpretation of Indonesian culinary traditions.

The culinary conversation won’t end in Bali either, with a return leg in Bangkok slated for September 2026.
