Great Palate 2024

Inaugural wine and spirits festival Great Palate by Malt & Wine Asia to take place from 17 to 20 October 2024 with a walkabout tasting and a slew of wine dinners.

There’s a new wine and spirits festival in town – Great Palate this October is feature a Wine Walkabout tasting experience supported by various exclusive wine dinner experiences around town.

Organised by Singapore-based wine and spirits distributor Malt & Wine Asia, the iconic events surrounding Great Palate will take place The NCO Club at JW Marriott South Beach. The event is anchored by its signature Wine Walkabout on Saturday 19 October, which will showcase over 100 wines and spirits. Specifically wines from the Old World, which include Champagne Frerejean Frères, Champagne Vilmart & Cie, Château de Pommard (Burgundy), J.Denuziere (Rhone Valley), St Patrice (Châteauneuf-du-pape), Château Saint Maur, (Provence), Tenuta Sant’Antonio (Verona) and Beronia (Rioja).

As for those who love fortified wines and spirits lovers, expect to sample the likes of ABK6 (Cognac), Nomad (whisky), Cocchi (Italian vermouth), Gonzalez Byass (Spanish sherry), and Cockburn’s (Port), as well as The Gardener’s Gin.

Surrounding the signature walkabout tasting are a number of themed masterclasses, featuring Champagne Vilmart & Cie, Domaine Roc de L’Abbaye from Sancerre, Burgundy’s Chateau de Pommard, and more.

Gracing the Great Palate will be a bevy of ambassadors from the wineries and distilleries flying in. Among these include Roberto Bava of Cocchi, as well as Armando Castagnedi, the owner and winemaker of of Tenuta Sant’Antonio.

The Great Palate will also feature a number of wine dinners at Madame Fan, each focused on a specific theme such as Burgundy, Amarone, Champagne, or Bordeaux, but for the ultimate dining experience there’s the Gala Dinner featuring the best of the best from Malt & Wine Asia.

Outside of The NCO Club, there will be other wine dinners surrounding the event, such as a Château Saint Maur pairing dinner at Ginkyo, one featuring Spanish Rioja at Akasa, and an Italian vermouth pairing dinner at modern African restaurant Tamba.

Prices for the Great Palate Wine Walkabout tasting is S$88++, while the themed masterclasses are priced from S$108++. Prices for the wine dinners range from S$118++ to S$298++ for the gala dinner.
