Summer Palace x Wai King Kok — Wines of East Asia Wine Dinner

Michelin-starred Cantonese fine dining institution Summer Palace will be hosting a special wine dinner as part of its four-hands collaboration with Executive Chef Alan Gan of Wai King Kok, Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund.

Happening on Friday 5 December, the “Wines of East Asia Wine Dinner” will be a one-night-only dégustation by Chef Liu Ching Hai of Conrad Singapore Orchard’s one-Michelin-starred Summer Palace and Chef Alan Gan of Wai King Kok, paired with East Asian wines curated by Park90. The evening will showcase the coastal roots of Cantonese and Hakka cuisines — fresh seafood, clear broths, and dishes shaped by steam, flame and wok heat — while emerging regional terroirs and the dialogue between Chinese flavours and contemporary Asian winemaking.

Alongside the exclusive Four-Hands menus, a curated selection of each chef’s individual restaurant signatures — including Chef Gan’s Charcoal Grilled Sea Whelk and Chef Liu’s Baked Cod Fish with Egg White and Kaluga Caviar — will also be available à la carte.

Tea-pairing by Summer Palace’s resident tea sommelier and wine-pairing supplements are available at S$38++ and S$98++ per person respectively.
