The Malt Affair Vol. X
Few whisky festivals can claim to have grown as organically as The Malt Affair. What began as a small bottle-sharing session among four whisky enthusiasts in 2017 has steadily evolved into one of Singapore’s defining whisky gatherings, while staying true to its founding philosophy of being “by maltheads, for maltheads”. Returning for its milestone tenth edition on 5 September 2026 at Amara Singapore, the festival brings together collectors, independent bottlers, specialist bars and whisky personalities from 10 countries for its biggest outing yet.
More than 400 whiskies will be available to discover, with drams starting from S$5 and around 70% priced below S$50, making the festival as welcoming to curious newcomers as it is to seasoned collectors. New this year is the Collectors’ Vault, offering the opportunity to acquire coveted bottles from exhibitors’ private collections, alongside the Explorer Pass, which includes festival admission, a commemorative tasting glass and a curated flight of five exclusive pours.
Returning exhibitors such as The Auld Alliance, The Single Cask, The Swan Song, Happy Three Friends and Diageo Rare & Exceptional will be joined by first-time participants including Oldies & Goodies (Belgium), Bar OMC (Tokyo), Bar Minmore, Whisky Bar Aiba and Bar Simon (Osaka), OBE Whisky Bar (Hong Kong), PK Maltroom (Vietnam) and Singapore’s Woodcask. The masterclass programme also welcomes internationally renowned whisky authorities, including Belgian Ardbeg collector Geert Bero, Japanese whisky expert Hideo Yamaoka and Italy’s Max Righi, with sessions starting from S$90.
