Singapore’s love affair with sake takes centre stage once again as Shukuu Izakaya and Mirai Sake Hall present their 10th anniversary edition of SAKE SAKE.

Shukuu Izakaya and Sake Mirai Hall will be marking 10 years of pouring Japan’s beloved national alcoholic beverage at SAKE SAKE. The upcoming anniversary edition of its ragingly popular sake-centric festival — which will run the weekend of 27 and 28 September 2025 — is set to be a milestone celebration for the homegrown izakaya and its sake import arm that have helped redefine Japanese drinking culture in the city.

To celebrate the occasion, the two-day SAKE SAKE festival this September promises more than 80 artisanal sakes spanning rare doboroku, fresh nama varieties, elegant junmai, and seasonal pours flown in exclusively for the occasion.

But SAKE SAKE has always been about more than just drinking. While sake enthusiasts can expect a true deep-dive into Japan’s most iconic beverage with free-flow tastings across one of the most comprehensive sake lineups available in Singapore, at the heart of the festival lies its approachable, educational spirit. Certified sommeliers from Shukuu Izakaya and Mirai Sake Hall will be on hand to guide both seasoned aficionados and first-timers through the spectrum of styles, ensuring every guest finds a bottle that resonates with their palate.

Festival goers at SAKE SAKE

To mark the anniversary, Shukuu Izakaya’s chefs are also rolling out a festival-only izakaya menu, with inventive dishes and summer specials designed to match the breadth of the sake showcase.

Festival goers can also bring the experience home with its bottle dealsand  event-only merchandise — including discounts that scale up with larger purchases, from 5% off above $200 to 15% off above $800. Premium ticket holders will even take home an exclusive Mirai Sake Hall decanter and coaster set alongside the official SAKE SAKE anniversary cup and tote bag.

This September edition follows a sold-out prelude edition earlier this April, which drew rave reviews from the city’s sake community. For those who missed out, the anniversary festival offers another chance to immerse in one of Singapore’s most convivial and inclusive sake gatherings — part celebration, part education, and all-round good drinking fun.

As Shukuu Izakaya raises a glass to its 10th anniversary, SAKE SAKE promises to be its most spirited edition yet — a toast to a decade of izakaya culture in Singapore, and to many more years of sake discovery to come.

SAKE SAKE will take place on 27 and 28 September, with two sessions per day that weekend. Purchase your tickets here: https://miraisakehall.sg/products/sake-sake-2025-sep-edition-10th-year-anniversary-shukuu-izakaya-1.
