Negroni Week will be painting the cocktail scene in Hong Kong and Macau red as more than 100 venues across both territories join the global celebration of Italy’s most iconic cocktail this September.

Hong Kong’s cocktail scene is gearing up for its boldest Negroni Week yet, with more than 100 bars and restaurants across the city — as well as Macau — joining the global celebration of Italy’s most iconic cocktail from 22 to 28 September 2025

First launched in 2013 by Imbibe Magazine in collaboration with Campari, Negroni Week has grown into a worldwide movement uniting bartenders, venues, and cocktail lovers for a good cause. Now in its 13th year, the initiative continues its partnership with global non-profit Slow Food, raising funds to support hospitality education, biodiversity preservation, and wellness projects around the world. Last year, over 13,000 bars and restaurants in nearly 90 countries came together to raise over US$600,000 through Negroni Week alone, funding 24 industry scholarships and 17 community-based projects.

As for this year? Hong Kong has big plans. This cocktail Pearl of the Orient will see a citywide programme of parties, guest shifts, and exclusive menus, with neighbouring Macau also joining in with a Guinness World Record attempt.

Avoca will also serve three exclusive Negronis throughout the week.

  • September 28 – Closing Night at Qura

Negroni Week wraps in style at Qura, Mondrian’s harbourside bar of marble and gilt. Guest bartender Giusy Castaldo, Campari’s Global Red Hands winner, will present her Mixitico, Italiano, and Evergreen Negroni.

Beyond these headline events, a curated selection of 23 spotlight venues — from cocktail heavyweights such as COA, The Old Man, Daily Tot, and Tell Camellia, to destination restaurants like Zuma, Aqua, and Buenos Aires Polo Club — will feature exclusive Negroni creations throughout the week. Hotel bars including Ozone at The Ritz-Carlton and The Aubrey at Mandarin Oriental are also joining the festivities, underscoring the Negroni’s enduring influence across Hong Kong’s hospitality scene.

While the Negroni continues to be one of the world’s most celebrated cocktails, Negroni Week elevates the aperitivo classic into the realm of community and charity. This year’s proceeds will once again support Slow Food’s Negroni Week Fund, ensuring that every sip contributes to preserving culinary heritage and supporting the global bar community.

With international guest shifts, world-class collaborations, and even a record-breaking spectacle, Negroni Week 2025 in Hong Kong and Macau looks set to be the most dynamic yet — a true showcase of why there’s no Negroni without Campari.
