The new Wine Connection 2026 collection is set to remind Singapore why the wine purveyor remains the country’s most influential gateway to good wine — accessible, non-intimidating, and endlessly drinkable.

Wine drinking in Singapore was once a niche hobby, something reserved for hotel bars, expat enclaves, and the occasional fancy dinner. Today that has become woven into the city’s burgeoning dining culture, with wine widely poured at tasting fairs, glugged down wine festivals, and enjoyed with food even at neighbourhood restaurants.

A lot of that shift can be traced to the many wine restaurants that have sprouted up and blossomed over the years. Among them? Wine Connection, whose many outlets across the city have helped democratise wine drinking among Singaporeans. And with the launch of its new wine collection for 2026, Wine Connection is once again going to teach Singapore how to enjoy wine without pretense.

You’re looking at an entirely new 40-label lineup spanning France, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and more, reflecting the wide-ranging tastes of Singapore’s increasingly curious drinkers. Even better? The new collection is affordably priced — ranging from super-value 90-pointers starting at S$29.90 to affordable champagnes from $S49.90 — designed to make quality drinking exciting but also accessible.

Wine Connection holds an annual wine fair introducing its new collection

Into Bordeaux? There’s Château Mazails Médoc Cru Bourgeois and Château Beaurang Saint-Émilion for those who love their Right Bank reds, or the Château St Pierre de Corbian Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois if you prefer their Left Bank counterparts.

Even the champagnes — traditionally the first casualties of price inflation — stay firmly within reach; the Henri Dubois Champagne Brut and Ernest Rapeneau Blanc de Blancs Brut come at more wallet-friendly prices compared to their more well-known, branded contemporaries.

Representing Italy is Villa Fura Amarone Delle Valpolicella DOCG and Diamante Moscato d’Asti DOCG, while New World examples include New Zealand’s Hans Greyl Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Argentina’s Finca Las Moras ‘Dada’ Chocolate, among others.

High-scoring wines make strong appearances, including an IWSC-medalled Grenache, a Rioja marked by Suckling’s 90 points, and an organic Brunello praised by both Suckling and Jancis Robinson.

Alongside the collection comes a refreshed food menu across its bistros — a thoughtful companion to encourage pairing and exploration. New dishes such as Stracciatella Dip absolutely moreish with San Marzano tomatoes, perfectly charred Lamb Pinchos, Grilled Octopus slathered with smoky romesco, and a Tuscan Meatball Arrabiata that play so naturally with a diversity of wines. Or how about airy sourdough pizzas with new flavours like Truffle Mushroom and Parmesan that deliver a huge umami hit, otherwise the Carnivore will delight meat lovers with generous toppings of chorizo, salami and bacon.

In a landscape where wine can still feel coded, Wine Connection continues to strip away barriers with every collection, every menu, every bottle chosen for drinkability and priced for easy accessibility. Who can say no to that?
