Wine Discovery Weekend returns on 18 October 2025 for its milestone 10th edition, reimagined as a restaurant-based celebration at CANCHITA Dempsey that pairs Latin American flavours with a global showcase of over 100 wines, masterclasses, and even a sparkling tea debut.

Wine lovers in Singapore, time to ready your glasses — wine-centric festival Wine Discovery Weekend returns this October and is set to be its biggest and best yet. Celebrating a milestone with its 10th edition, this annual wine showcase by leading Singapore-based wine importer Ewineasia.com marks its first-ever restaurant edition on Saturday 18 October 2025 under the theme, “Harvest & Heritage”.

The fresh new Wine Discovery Weekend format pivots away from its usual hotel venues and sets it against the vibrant backdrop of Peruvian restaurant CANCHITA in Dempsey Hill, pairing the flavours of Latin America with its global selection of wines. Guests can expect to taste up to 100 labels from artisanal and family-owned wineries across renowned regions such as Bordeaux and Burgundy, as well as discover lesser-known gems from Morocco, Israel, Peru, and beyond. Brands you can expect to find there include Cellar Kripta (Penedes, Spain), Champagne Chapuy (Champagne, France), Domaine Alexandre Parigot (Burgundy, France), Gusbourne (Kent, UK), CaveYves Cuilleron (Rhone, France), Chateau Bernadotte (Bordeaux, France), Casarena (Mendoza, Argentina), Pieropan (Veneto, Italy), and many more.

Winemakers will be present to share stories of their heritage and philosophies, with some offering conversations around the role of AI in modern winemaking for a more contemporary edge.

In a nod to evolving tastes, the festival will also debut Mindful Sparks Sparkling Tea, a premium non-alcoholic “champagne-like” sparkling tea crafted in Hong Kong using patented flavour extraction technology. Certified halal and designed for food pairing, it promises to be a talking point for mindful drinkers and the sober curious.

Beyond the main walkabout tasting, Wine Discovery Weekend 2025 will present a trio of exclusive masterclasses designed for serious enthusiasts:

  • “A Journey Through France & England’s Finest Whites”, featuring HVE Certified Champagne Chapuy and sustainable producers like Gusbourne (Kent) and Yves Cuilleron (Rhône).

  • “Spain in Three Expressions”, spanning CORPINNAT sparklings, Rias Baixas whites, and Ribera del Duero reds.

  • “Red Heritage in Three Languages”, highlighting Rhône, Barolo, and Mendoza through the lens of organic and sustainable producers.
