From refined Cantonese banquets to polished takeaway feasts, Lunar New Year dining in Singapore this year is less about excess — and more about connection, ritual, and choosing the right table to gather around.
Lunar New Year dining in Singapore has evolved.
Where once the Lunar New Year feasting was defined by maximalist menus and competitive opulence, today’s most compelling festive offerings feel more considered and calibrated for how we actually celebrate now. Families want reassurance and ritual; hosts want flexibility without compromise; and increasingly, diners are choosing places that understand the emotional choreography of reunion meals as much as they do premium ingredients.
This year’s standout Lunar New Year programmes reflect that shift. From destination Chinese restaurants anchoring multi-generational reunions, to hotels offering polished at-home spreads for those hosting beyond their own kitchens, these Lunar New Year dining and takeaway options capture how Singapore now celebrates the season: deliberately, generously, and with a renewed respect for why these meals matter in the first place.
Peach Blossoms at PARKROYAL Collection Marina Bay
For those marking the Lunar New Year around the table rather than the takeaway box, award-winning Peach Blossoms at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay again positions itself as one of the city’s most composed destinations for festive Chinese dining. Helmed by Executive Chinese Chef Edward Chong, the restaurant’s 2026 Lunar New Year programme leans into refinement and ingredient-led storytelling, offering a structured range of set menus that feel celebratory without tipping into theatrical excess — well-suited for both intimate reunions and large, corporate-style gatherings.
The headline is the eight-course Spring Blossoms Rising Fortune Set, a showcase of premium produce and technical confidence that frames Lunar New Year dining as a journey rather than a checklist. Dishes move fluidly from a savoury reinterpretation of yu sheng anchored by traditional Hakka-style salt-baked chicken, through to snow crab spring rolls crowned with bird’s nest and caviar, double-boiled Muscovy duck soup, Alaskan king crab with roe, and slow-poached dried abalone enriched with pig’s trotter vinegar. The menus are thoughtfully tiered — from vegetable-forward and smaller-format sets to expansive banquet menus for tables of ten — allowing hosts to scale ambition without diluting intent.
Prefer to take away? The Happiness Reunion Family Bundle comes a generous six-dish spread built for sharing, featuring prosperity salmon yu sheng, braised pig trotter with abalone, steamed seabass with dried oyster, smoked soy sauce chicken and glutinous rice enriched with Chinese sausage and abalone, before closing on a seasonal nian gao.
The Lunar New Year set menus at Peach Blossoms is available for dine-in now till 8 March 2026, while its festive takeaway offerings can be ordered online, and available for self-collection till 3 March 2026.

Thanying Restaurant at Amara Singapore
If you’re tired of the same ol’ boring Lunar New Year dishes year after year, Thanying’s Thai interpretations may just excite your tastebuds. Their Yu Sheng looks like any other, but is tossed with a spicy sweet-sour sauce for a distinctive Thai flavour and, even better, comes topped with addictive fried chicken skin.
Swop out typical braised seafood staples for Phad Kra-Praw Pla which highlights the crunchy texture of sliced fish maw, fried with dried mushrooms and crabmeat. Or opt to go wholly Thai with Chu-Chi Goong, large river prawns with a creamy and fiery red curry sauce. See-Krong Moo Ohb Nam-Pung won’t be out of place on the reunion dinner table with a stack of impressively large smoked and honey marinated pork ribs, nor would Khao Ohb Nam-Liaeb Truffle, the ubiquitous Thai black olive rice with minced chicken given a luxurious upgrade with truffle shavings.
Thanying’s Lunar New Year menu is available from now till 3 March 2026.
