Singapore’s luxury hotel landscape will welcome a new boutique contender when Harilela Hotels brings its design-led hospitality concept to Orchard Road for the first time with The Hari Singapore in 2027.

What was formerly Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre will be reflagged as The Hari Singapore when Harilela Hotels officially makes its debut in 2027 and brings its design-led hospitality concept to one of the Lion City’s most established hospitality districts.

Located on Cavenagh Road, just moments from Orchard Road, the property represents the third hotel under The Hari brand following the successful openings of The Hari London in Belgravia in 2016 and The Hari Hong Kong in Wan Chai in 2020. While relatively small in portfolio, the brand has established a distinct identity centred on intimate luxury, contemporary design and art, positioning itself between the formality of traditional luxury hotels and the increasingly crowded lifestyle hotel segment.

The interiors will once again be led by British designer Tara Bernerd, whose work has defined the visual identity of both existing Hari properties. For Singapore, her design approach combines contemporary elegance with references to the city’s multicultural character, creating interiors intended to feel refined yet approachable while maintaining a strong sense of place.

The Hari Singapore will open in spring 2027.

Guests can expect 326 guestrooms alongside a rooftop swimming pool, executive lounge, wellness facilities and multiple dining experiences. A hallmark of The Hari brand will also make its Singapore debut through a rotating programme of contemporary artworks integrated throughout the hotel, reinforcing the group’s emphasis on design and culture as part of the guest experience rather than decorative afterthoughts.

Like its sister properties, The Hari Singapore is intended to embody the brand’s philosophy of understated luxury, pairing personalised hospitality with thoughtful design, cultural programming and a relaxed atmosphere that distinguishes it from larger international luxury hotel brands.

The Singapore opening reflects the continued evolution of Orchard Road’s hotel landscape, where several longstanding properties have undergone significant repositioning in recent years — such as Regent Singapore into Conrad Singapore Orchard — to cater to changing traveller expectations. For travellers, The Hari Singapore will offer yet another boutique luxury alternative within the Orchard Road precinct, appealing to guests seeking contemporary design, curated art experiences and a more intimate style of luxury hospitality when it opens spring next year.
