Negroni Week returns to Singapore from 22 to 28 September 2025, uniting more than 120 bars, pubs and restaurants across the city in celebration of the classic Italian aperitivo cocktail.

If you love your Negronis, you’re in luck — the classic aperitivo cocktail is set to take centre stage once again as the annual Negroni Week celebration returns to Singapore this September for its 2025 edition. What first started as a small cocktail movement in 2013 to celebrate this iconic aperitivo and give back to society has grown into a massive movement, and this year will see over 120 venues across the Lion City toast to — and with — the Negroni, with every pour contributing to Slow Food’s mission of supporting biodiversity, education, and wellness in the hospitality industry.

The Negroni has been stirring hearts for more than a century. Cocktail hounds may be familiar with its origins. Born in Florence in 1919, the story goes that Count Camillo Negroni asked his bartender to strengthen his usual Americano by eschewing the usual soda water with gin. The bartender obliged, swapping lemon for an orange garnish to mark the difference — and thus, the Negroni was born.

Whatever the truth may be, the resulting recipe — equal parts Campari, sweet vermouth, and gin — is deceptively simple and remains unchanged to this day. According to the Drinks International Cocktail Report 2025, it’s the world’s most ordered classic cocktail.

Which takes us to Negroni Week. In Singapore the celebrations begin with a launch event at PLUME on 22 September, where the top 15 finalists of the Campari Red Hands Singapore competition will be announced. Guests can expect inventive serves from bartenders hailing from Bar Somma, The Whisper Room, The Singapore Edition Lobby Bar, and ATLAS, alongside the opportunity to mix their very own Negroni with Campari at the heart.

Classic Negroni

Across the week, Singapore’s leading venues will showcase their creativity with exclusive Negroni variations:

  • ATLAS – offering its iconic house Negroni, a benchmark for balance and elegance.
  • Bar Somma – spotlighting its Sherry Negroni with a touch of olosoro as well as the daring Red Sky Rising.
  • DIMPLE – putting a botanical spin with its Five Flower Tea Negroni.
  • Spago Bar & Lounge – featuring Wolfgang’s Perfect Negroni, a tribute to precision.
  • Allora Ristorante & Bar – celebrating global inspiration with Negroni Around the World.
  • LeVeL33 – barrel-aging its own 33 Barrel-Aged Negroni and serving the effervescent Negroni Sbagliato.
  • The St. Regis Bar – offering a selection including the clear Negroni Bianco and the house SRB Negroni.
  • Republic Bar – reimagining classics with Not a Rosita and the bittersweet edge of its namesake serve.

Other participating venues such as Madame Fan, PLUME, and Origin Bar will also be showcasing their own limited-edition takes, ensuring a city-wide celebration of the cocktail’s versatility.

Beyond the drinks, Negroni Week continues its charitable purpose. In 2024, the initiative raised more than US$600,000 globally, supporting industry scholarships and community projects. This year, contributions from Singapore’s participating venues will again be channelled through the Slow Food Negroni Fund, reinforcing the idea that every Negroni ordered can help safeguard cultural and biological diversity, while fostering equity and education.

From gilded hotel lounges to hidden cocktail dens, Negroni Week 2025 promises to reaffirm Singapore as one of Asia’s leading cocktail capitals. Whether sipping on a faithful rendition or an avant-garde twist, imbibers can toast not just to the timeless appeal of the Negroni — but also to a cause that gives back to the very industry that keeps the city shaking and stirring.
