The Grape Escape returns for its 2025 edition, uncorking a celebration of sommeliers, stories, and standout bottles — pairing the Singapore National Sommelier Competition Finals with Bottles & Bottles’ 21st-anniversary showcase for one unforgettable Sunday of sipping and spectacle.

Singapore’s wine scene hits peak pour when The Grape Escape 2025 takes place this month. Happening on Sunday 12 October 2025 at PARKROYAL on Beach Road, the wine fiesta will feature over 50 booths, tasting zones, and sommelier-led masterclasses for the perfect wine-soaked weekend.

As with previous editions, The Grape Escape is also set to again feature the finals of the Singapore National Sommelier Competition 2025. Now in its 16th year, the competition remains the city’s most respected stage for sommelier talent, crowning champions who’ve gone on to define Singapore’s wine service scene — from Park90 and Praelum to Michelin-starred dining rooms across the island.

Singapore National Sommelier Competition Finals in progress

This year’s finals, judged by Kevin Lu MS, will once again spotlight the precision, charm, and tasting acrobatics that make sommellerie one of hospitality’s most mesmerising crafts. Expect blind-tasting theatrics, lightning-fast service challenges, and just a touch of friendly rivalry from the six competing finalists: Wyman Kok from Saint Pierre, Zachary Tay of The Private Commune, Praelum Wine Bistro’s Vanessa Tan, Lesley Liu of Odette, New Zhen Jie from 67 Pall Mall Singapore, and Khor Zhen Zhe from Park90.

Then there’s the public-facing wine tasting festival itself, that turns the usually industry-only competition into a full-on playground for wine lovers. This year’s theme is “Progeny & Prodigies”, which raises a glass to the next generation of winemakers and the legends who inspired them.

Wine tasting galore at The Grape Escape

And because no celebration is complete without bottles worth toasting, long-time event sponsor Bottles & Bottles is marking its 21st year by debuting exclusive wines from Canada’s Arterra Wines and France’s AdVini Group — a lineup that spans Niagara’s cool-climate elegance to Burgundy’s timeless finesse.

So whether you’re there to cheer on Singapore’s sharpest sommeliers, discover new terroirs, or simply sip your way from Rhône to Niagara, The Grape Escape 2025 promises to be one unmissable Sunday for anyone who’s ever found joy in a well-poured glass.

Tickets to The Grape Escape 2025 are priced at S$78 per person (or S$702 for 10 passes). You can purchase them here: experience.theurbanfindr.com/event/grape-escape-2025.
